Proof of Stake with Solidity Support

IOCoin (IOC) is preparing to lauch their DVM public testnet where Proof of Stake meets Solidity based Smart Contracts. Integrating data driven features of IOC with Smart Contracts.

Not on par with major Blockchains like Ethereum / Cardano but IOC goes further!

What is IOCoin in a nutshell

IOCoin (IOC) launched in 2014 where after a two week mining period they successfully switched to Proof of Stake. IOC did not have a pre-mine nor ICO. Developments ever since are done by volunteers, paid for by donations and supported by a loyal community.

After working on their DIONS project (Decentralized Input Output Name Server) for some years, they successfully released features like storing up to 1Mb data (files, images etc) in the IOC Blockchain, AES 256 encrypted messaging and a fully decentralized alias system. IOC immediately released a fully working HTML5 wallet (see image) and API to support all these features. IOC utilizes a Proof of Stake model where participants have their own wallets staking. IOC won several awards like the Fintech Awards 2018 in Brussels.

the fully featured IOC DIONS wallet

The last two years IOC operated and developed under the radar for many and continued to work on a new project called DVM (Decentralized Virtual Machine) that would extend the IOC featureset even further and again setting new standards in Proof of Stake Blockchains.

The public testnet of DVM is planned to be released mid 2022.

DVM, the gateway to Proof of Stake with Solidity support

DVM can be easily described as adding a Smart Contract layer and Solidity support. Solidity is an object-oriented programming language for writing smart contracts. It is used for implementing smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, most notably, Ethereum.

When DVM is launched the IOC Blockchain, on top of their existing features, is ready for many new use cases and can support NFT creation, DeFi solutions, Token Swap Solutions (like Uniswap), IOC20 Tokenization and Yield farming all based on Solidity.

With adding the DVM layer on top of IOC, IOC Smart Contracts created can also interact with the already existing feature set of IOC which will make it a very powerful combination.

Connecting Solidity and Smart Contract to DIONS can utilize;

  • Fully Decentralized Alias System
  • AES 256 Encrypted Messaging
  • AES 256 encrypted 1 MB Data storage
  • Shade Payments
  • 16 second block confirmation
  • Very low storage and transaction fees
  • 1 mb file storage (4 mb blocks) with ownership transfer feature

Smart Contract Wizard for easy tokenization

IOC always has usability high on their agenda. Using features of a Blockchain should be easy hence the release of the fully working HTML5 wallet earlier and documented API.

Following the DVM release IOC will also introduce Demix. Demix will consist of a Smart Contract Wizard where anyone with some degree of crypto knowledge can launch their own token in just a few steps. This token will be a IOC20 token.
